It's Been Awhile

I know that I have not kept up much on the blog lately, but things have been a little crazy at home. I am not Sydney's nanny anymore, but it's a good thing because Mindy is now able to stay home with all her kids. So in the manner I have been looking for a part-time job to fill up my time and bring in a little bit more income. Kellen and I have been doing well just trying to get more involved at church and in our community. We have been volunteering at the Mission Baseball games in San Antonio to raise money for the Navy Ball coming up in October. I have been continuing my physical therapy and sadly it has not been going well. I have had several doctors appointments and things just have not turned out well and I feel more disappointed. We have just been trying to get answers and I feel like every time I go, I never get the right one. My doctors have given me the notion that maybe having a baby might maje things better, soooo Kellen and I have been talking, but nothing is for sure yet lol. On top of all that, Bailey got very sick this past Monday and she almost died, so I have been busy trying to nurture her back to her normal self. She had a bad case of HGE where is gets toxins in her stomach that eat away at her stomach lining and it caused her to throw up blood and poop blood.....lets just say that it was a mess, but she is doing MUCH better now and almost back to her normal self. So Our lives have been very busy and crazy and Kellen has been working so hard and I am soo proud of him. We thank God so much for everything that He has given us! Well that's all I have time for!

Another Recap on Lots of Fun Things!

Alright everyone it is time for an update and to get everyone up to speed on what has been happening in our lives lately. First off, Kellen and I were able to go to Sea World with the Landeros family and enjoy a day of fun. Sea World here is so different from the one in California, it is more rides here then it is looking at animals. Still it was fun and we were able to get in for free cause of military, so it was well worth going.
Me and Kellen at the dolphin show!
Baby Beluga! Saying Hello!
Shamoo!!!
Flipping the air, pretty cool!!
After that the next thing to come up was Kellen's frocking ceremony for HM2. Kellen's silbings and I were able to attend and I was sooo proud to watch my husband get what he has worked so hard for. I am so proud and blessed to be married to him! He works so hard for his little family!
I know it blurry, but what a cutie!
After that it would have been Sydney's second birthday! Her birthday was on a Friday so we made her some cupcakes and let her frost them herself, well at least try to lol It was fun having her brothers and sister there too! Her birthday party wasn't till the next weekend so we just did a little something for her real birthday! Kellen and I bought her a Sleeping Beauty Dress........I know you are all thinking I picked that one lol  But she loves the Disney Princesses maybe just as much as I do! I hope she will have all the dresses someday soon lol
Frosting her own cupcake, well she ate most of the frosting herself!
Sydney and Her brothers
Happy 2nd Birthday Sydney!!
And Lastly Kellen and I attended the corpsman Ball for the 113th corps Birthday! It was a wonderful evening, but the only bad thing was the food was not so great, but it was still worth it to go. They do a lot of presentations and the oldest enlisted corpsman was there. It was neat seeing all of the corpsman together, kind of a cool thing to see. I feel really blessed being married to hospital corpsman!
Me and My sailor!
We got to take these engraved glasses home with us!
Well that is the recap on what has happened with us up till now. Last night Kellen and I went to a baseball game and helped at one of the consession stands to raise money for The Navy ball which is the night before we leave for our california trip. We will be in California from October 15-22! We are really looking forward to coming back for a while. Kellen is starting school this next month so our schedule is just getting busy and crazy but all for good reasons. I start my Physical therapy on the 11th so prayers on that please. I have waited a long time and I am praying that it works and that is all I will need! With all that we are missing everyone back in cali or where ever you are! Ill be writing again real soon!

California Trip!

So this is a little late coming on here, but things have been a little busy so I'm doing the bast that I can! On May 6th I was blessed by friends that flew me home for mother's day! It was sooo awesome going home, but it felt very weird coming back haha just not the same but I liked it! The day that I got there my mom picked me up at the airport, and yes of course she was crying her eyes out......I think she missed me! After that we went and surprised my dad at Flour Fusion, he had no idea I was coming and yes he cried as well. I have softies as parents haha just kidding! Me and my mom went and got our toes done which was awesome cause the salons on Texas are not as good as the ones in California.

The other big thing that made my parents very happy was that my brother Reid and I were in California at the same time. One big happy family again! On Mother's Day my mom wanted for us to make her a potting bench. Sooo my dad and I built it and then, we all painted it minus my mom.
That is the building it part hahaha
We are great workers haha I miss my dad and how much we always have together! He can always make me laugh.....Pretty much the best dad in the world!!
There is Reid painting the top part of the bench, he did a planet type painting it was sweet! On the bottom My dad and I did a flowers that represent each kid, spouse, and one for my dad, with vines wrapping around the legs. It turned out really cool and we had fun doing it together! Also, while in was in Cali I got to catch up with a few friends, it was wonderful seeing them as well!
And there she is only the best mother in the world! I only hope that I can be the mother she is to me, to my own kids! I love you momma and was sooo happy to see you!
KELLEN MADE PETTY OFFICER 2ND CLASS!!!!! Soooo proud of him he passed his test and got promoted to E-5!!!! Sooo proud of my husband!!! While I was in California Kellen went to Arizona for 3 days to watch his good friend Stephen graduate for officer school for the Air Force! Congrats Stephen we are soo proud of you!!! Kellen was Stephen choice to be given the Silver Dollar Salute, it was a big honor for Kellen!
The week after I got back from California I had another doctors appointment and I have to start Physical Therapy and hope that it makes me better. Kellen and I are just praying that God will allow His plan to work out in my health and that everything will return to normal. I know He has a plan, it can be frustrating to follow sometimes but it is sooo worth it! We have been blessed with sooo much and God just keeps pouring more and more love into our lives, we are soo lucky!

Recap on the last month!!!

I know it has been a while since I have posted a blog, but things have been sooo crazy busy with work and family!!!! So let me give a quick recap on what we did....if I can remember everything lol
Well we went to the San Antonio Zoo with Mindy and the kids while Cody was on spring break!!! It was Sydney's second time going and she loved every moment of it!!! Al of us had a really good time walking around and looking at all the animals, but it was a little crowded.
Me and Sydney
Mindy, Laken, Sydney, and Me
Me and the hubby
Kellen has found a skeet and trap range near by and we usually go there every weekend to shoot our shotgun. I don't have any pictures of that but I will put some up soon. Kellen really enjoys shooting!!! In Texas they have a fiesta every April, it is pretty much a very long party haha So Kellen and his friend wanted to go one night, I was the designated driver haha we had fun though walking around eating and drinking. Then this past weekend Kellen did a mud run for the "Wounded Warrior" foundation, it was a 8K and he finished in about 40 something minutes which is really good time. After that we drove up his moms house for easter.
Me and Kellen on Easter
Bailey had a buddy on Easter, Joey haha
Me and Laken
So in between all of our crazy weekends, we also have work the whole week. Kellen's job is stressful sometimes but he comes home everyday to his loving family to help him get rid of his stress. I think I have a the greatest job in the world watching a little piece of sunshine. Even when I have a crummy day Sydney always makes my day better with her giggles and laughs.
God has truly blessed us with so much love and family here and at home! I will ask that they be prayers for my health and that my next doctors appointment will be good news to help me get better! I know God has given me the best husband in the world and he takes wonderful care of me. I could not ask for anyone better!!! I know he will be by my side through everything!!!!

Wicked For Kellen's Birthday!

I know that Kellen's birthday is not till April 1st, but Wicked was only here in Texas until the first week of March....sooooo I had to get them in February. I have seen it twice before and it was Kellen's first time and I was sure that he would love this play!
He always has to be so silly! So we left our house and headed down to the city, we wanted to get there early so that we could eat. When we got into the city we were looking for parking, we saw parking lot and pulled over to ask the guy how much it would be to park here. He told us that the lot was reserved(of course it was, it happen to be the closest lot to the theater), but by the grace of God he let us park there cause he said we looked like a nice couple out for a special night!!! It was a huge blessing that we got to park there.
This is our parking spot, I had to take a picture of it cause it was a huge blessing! After that we walked down the street and we found a restaurant to eat at. Little did we know that it was French cuisine, I ate a salad cause there was nothing that looked that great to me, but Kellen really enjoyed his pork.
This is while we waited an hour for our food to come, we were losing our patience and we didn't want to  be late to our play. Lets just say that we got our food at 7:30 and the play started at 8, we ate our food in 5 minuets lol no time to waste!!!
Good thing that the Theater was right down the street from where we ate. We were not allowed to take any pictures of the inside of the Theater, but all I have to say is that it was one of the most beautiful theaters that I have ever seen!! The play was amazing as usually and Kellen loved it!!!!! He has been singing the song "Popular" all week long....what a cutie!! We had a great night out together and enjoyed it very much!
I love my Husband soooo much and I am so happy that we got to go and see the play together!!
I can't believe that it is already March and next month is Kellen's real birthday, got to get to work on something else to do!!! We loved our night out for Kellen's early birthday present, but not shortly after that we both have gotten sick. We are both praying that we get well soon, cause there are so many more things that we would like to do out here in San Antonio and being sick does not allow us to do that lol Well that's it for now!! Miss and Love everyone at home!!

Bailey's Birthday and The Alamo

So on the 18th it was Bailey's first Birthday, we decided to take her to this park that is by our apartment. The park was huge it took like 10 minuets just to find where the dog park was lol We let Bailey run around and be a wild girl, since she doesn't get to do that much at home. She was really good too she didn't ever run off or go far away from us!
There she is being a wild girl! She loved following Kellen around.
We had a good time playing with her and we also took lunch with us, so we kinda went on a family picnic. It was nice to just be together and have fun with our puppy!
I love my little family soooo much!
So on Monday we went to the Alamo with Dede and Summer! I have always wanted to go and explore the Alamo. Every time I think of the Alamo I always think about Miss Congeniality the movie and how the pageant was in Texas and they also show the Alamo lol
It is not as big as I thought it would be, but I love the brick and the old buildings. We could not take any pictures inside so I don't have many pictures to show of the Alamo.
I had to take this picture for my momma back home, cause I know how she loves arches and southwestern style and the Alamo just reminded me of her! I love you Momma!
The Alamo was beautiful and we enjoyed looking at everything and having fun together as a family! We also went by a couple other places and took some funny pictures!

Summer and I with a very tall man!
Me with a very large woman.......or man???!!!! lol
Summer and I made a friend while we were out....his name was Jed....we loved him!!
This picture is of the Majestic Theatere where Kellen and I are going to see Wicked on the 24th of this month! I bought the tickets for Kellen's birthday, I am soooo excited for him to see the play I know he will love it! We had a great weekend with our family and with each other, we are blessed with what God has given us. There are still some trials that we are going through, but God is faithful to us and we trust what He has in store for us! We love and miss everyone at home!

SNOW!!!!

So this last week we had snow out here in Texas! Kellen got a call at 6 in the morning to not come into work cause the roads were closed due to Ice and Snow. At about 8 Kellen woke up to take bailey out to the bathroom, then he came rushing back in yelling at me to come look outside. It was soo exciting looking out upon Snow!!!!
It was soo cool to have that, Kellen and I have never lived anywhere with snow falling and staying on the ground. But in Texas we can get it but not all the time lol Anyways it was just fun to feel like winter outside, instead of California where its 70 in January lol
The whole main road was covered in snow. I guess by like 6 in the morning over 300 accidents had happened, so I was glad that Kellen was home safe with me and he didn't have to go to work.
Bailey had a hard time getting traction on the snow, cause it was hard like ice. She slide down like half of the stairs to get outside, it was pretty funny.
Anyways it was a pretty awesome day having snow and having Kellen all day long, it was a wonderful day. We are so blessed to have an amazing family and friends here to support us. I have been blessed to have a friend out here, we had friends from California move out here for the military too, but they will only be here till June. It has been so nice to have a friend to hangout with and talk to while Kellen is gone at work. I feel blessed with everything that God has given me and Kellen. I am a blessed wife to have the husband that I do. I love my hubby sooo much and am happy that I get to spend the rest of my life with him.

A week with Sydney!

This past week Kellen had a week off of work and we decided to steal his little sister Sydney for the week! It sure was a fun week and it is great practice for having our own baby someday! She is a sweet girl and we enjoyed spoiling her and playing with her 24-7! We also had our sister Laken come stay with us so we could enjoy her as well! Both of them are a true joy in our lives! It was funny cause every morning I had a routine, I would wake up when Bailey wanted to go out to the bathroom, come in make my morning coffee, watch CSI and wait till Sydney would wake up. When she woke up I would make her oatmeal and yogurt! I loved seeing this face every morning!
I would hangout with Sydney and play with her until the rest of the house would wake up, I enjoyed our little time together every morning! Most days we would wake up and take Sydney for long walks, she always wanted to go outside lol she is and adventurous girl! Kellen and Laken loved taking Sydney and running and playing with her on our walks!
We took Sydney to Toys R US, she loved looking at everything and playing with all the fun toys. We ended up buying her a couple of things, we just could not help it. We bought her this cute outfit!
An we also bought her a Princess tent, which she would refuse to come out of! She loves it too much and it is fun to watch her play in it with all her toys! It kept her occupied for hours!
There was one thing she loved more then anything in the world! A Hot Pink Barbie Mustang! She sure wanted that thing and we had a hard time getting her to get out of it! What a Diva!
It was a wonderful week and we enjoyed it very much, but we are enjoying just being with each other after all the fun this week. Kellen and I are excited to spend some alone time for a while and refresh! We cant wait to have our sisters over again sometime! Kellen and I went to a church this Sunday that we enjoyed, Kellen really liked and we plan on going to it again next Sunday! It is just taking me a little bit more time getting use to something different, I miss my church family back at home, but I know that God has a plan for us out here and he is helping us make this place a home! Here is our sweet child I could not help but add a picture of our baby! She is turning 1 Year Old on February 18! Woooooo!
Love and miss everyone at home!
